How do I calculate the square footage of a room?
Multiply the room's length by its width. For an L-shaped or irregular room, split it into rectangles, calculate each, and add them together. This calculator lets you add multiple areas and totals them automatically, in either feet or metres.
How do I find square footage for flooring or paint?
For flooring, calculate the floor area (length x width). For paint, calculate wall area (perimeter x height) and subtract openings. This tool covers both - switch between floor and wall modes.
